Privacy policy
This policy describes what Fadron collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website only. If you are a customer, the handling of imagery and survey data you send us is governed by the agreement covering that work.
Who is responsible
Fadron Ltd, Sofia Tech Park, Bul. Tsarigradsko shose 111B, Sofia 1784, Bulgaria, is the data controller for this website. For anything in this policy, including any of the requests below, write to [email protected].
Analytics and advertising
This site uses a third-party analytics service to count visits and see which pages get read. Where you allow it, that service sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, the pages you open, the time you spend on them, and general information about your device, browser, and approximate location. We read the result as totals. We do not use it to identify you and we do not join it to anything you send us through a form. The legal basis is your consent, which you give in the cookie notice and can withdraw there at any time.
Beyond that measurement, this site carries no advertising or retargeting pixels, builds no profile of you, and makes no automated decisions about anyone. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
What we collect, and why
When you submit a form
The contact, defense enquiry, sample report, newsletter, and Nimbus configuration forms collect what the form shows on screen: typically your name, work email, organization, country, and whatever you write in the message field, plus any fields specific to that form. We use it to answer you, and, if you asked for a document or a report, to send it.
With each submission we also record the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the page you submitted from. These are kept as a spam and abuse record: they are what let us tell an enquiry from an automated submission. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and in keeping the forms usable, and, where you have asked us to send you something or to quote for work, the steps needed to enter into a contract with you.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
We keep your email address and the fact that you subscribed. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by writing to us.
Cookies
This site sets first-party cookies. None of them is used for advertising.
- fadron_units remembers whether to show you metric or imperial units, so the choice survives to the next page. Expires after a year.
- fadron_admin and fadron_preview are set only when a Fadron administrator signs in to the private admin area, and only for that person. They expire after eight hours. If you have never signed in to our admin, you will never receive them.
- Analytics cookies tell one visit apart from another and recognize a returning browser. They are set only after you accept analytics in the cookie notice, and not before.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the service.
Who else sees it
Three providers handle data on our behalf, and no one else:
- An email delivery provider sends the notification and confirmation emails that a form submission triggers, so the contents of a submission pass through it.
- A cloud hosting provider runs this website and stores its data.
- An analytics provider receives the measurement data described above, where you have allowed it.
We disclose personal data outside those providers only where the law requires it. Where a provider stores or handles data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer relies on a European Commission adequacy decision or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept while there is a live business reason to keep them: an open enquiry, an ongoing relationship, or a legal obligation. They are removed when there is not. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
